  • Hybrid
    • Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands
  • €800 per month
  • Climate Team

Are you a pragmatic, analytically minded fresh graduate who wants to use data to help businesses become a force for good? Do you enjoy working with numbers and building climate models? Then, apply!

Job description

Your Mission

You will be working alongside our consultants on live client projects, getting hands-on with the kind of work that actually moves the needle on sustainability. As part of your time with us, you will also take on a personal internship mission: a defined project you can call your own, develop, and finish with something concrete to show for it. On top of that, you will learn fast, contribute meaningfully, and be part of a team that does its work passionately!

Job requirements

What you will bring:

  • A university degree (Master's level preferred) in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business/Management, Economics, or a related discipline with a quantitative focus, ideally with coursework or research touching on climate or sustainability topics.

  • At least six months of relevant work or research experience; prior exposure to a consultancy or analytical environment is an advantage.

  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills — you are comfortable working with large datasets, building structured models in Excel, interpreting emissions data, and drawing evidence-based conclusions. Experience with tools such as Python, R, or Power BI is a meaningful plus.

  • Hands-on experience or a strong demonstrated interest in carbon accounting, particularly Scope 1, 2, and 3 calculations under the GHG Protocol, and/or life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology.

  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks and reporting standards, including EcoVadis, B Corp, CDP, GRI, UNGC, and ESRS, is a significant advantage.

  • Fluency with AI tools and a genuine curiosity about how they can accelerate our work, whether that means building agents, automating workflows, cleaning and analysing data, or working with platforms such as Power BI, Zapier, or similar.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data modelling, structured datasets) and PowerPoint (clear, insight-led presentations).

  • Fluency in English; fluency in French or Dutch is a plus.

  • The ability to communicate complex, data-heavy findings clearly and concisely — both in writing and in client-facing settings.

  • A proactive, collaborative working style where you take ownership, ask good questions, and deliver on time.

What you will deliver:

  • Support ESG assessments, carbon footprint calculations, and sustainability gap analyses for clients across sectors.

  • Build quantitative emissions models — collecting, cleaning, and interpreting large volumes of activity data to produce accurate Scope 1, 2, and 3 inventories.

  • Support the team in developing client-ready sustainability roadmaps and improvement plans, grounded in data and aligned with relevant reporting frameworks.

  • Apply and learn assessment methodologies, including EcoVadis, B Corp, CDP, and reporting standards such as GRI, UNGC, and ESRS.

  • Produce well-structured reports, presentations, and data visualisations that translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Support project managers on client-facing calls and assist with preparing client deliverables.

  • Build and maintain internal knowledge databases, capturing key regulations, data sources, and methodological insights to strengthen collective expertise.

  • Research emerging sustainability topics and contribute creative, evidence-based approaches to complex client challenges.
