The Role
As a Climate Senior Consultant specialising in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprinting, you'll support project teams and work hands-on with clients to deliver high-quality technical analyses and actionable sustainability insights.
Project Delivery:
Conduct LCAs for products and organisations based on ISO 14040/14044, supporting project leads in modelling and presenting results.
Support projects involving PACT (Partnership for Carbon Transparency) or similar supply chain data harmonisation frameworks.
Contribute to client presentations and respond to technical queries regarding LCA, carbon footprinting, and agriculture approaches if applicable.
Calculate and interpret carbon footprints, including Scope 1, 2, and especially Scope 3, using the GHG Protocol.
Assist in the preparation of recommendations for decarbonisation, science-based targets (SBTi), and climate risk assessments.
Ensure quality and consistency in all analysis, documentation, and client-facing deliverables.
Use and learn advanced Excel modelling and LCA software (e.g. SimaPro, GABI, Eco-chain, etc.); a willingness to develop programming/data analysis skills is welcomed.
Strong data management skills including data architecture, process mapping and implementing control measures (for pre-assurance)
Client Engagement & Commercial Involvement:
Support communication of technical concepts in an accessible way for clients.
Collaborate with the commercial and sales teams by providing technical content and participating in the preparation of pitches, proposals, and sales materials.
Deliver technical support to the sales team during meetings with prospective clients and support the design of solution approaches.
Participate in sector benchmarking and regulatory compliance research, adding value to sales enablement materials.
Learning & Collaboration:
Work closely with consultants, project leads, and the sales team, actively developing your LCA, carbon accounting, and consultancy skills.
Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and commercial upskilling sessions.
Embrace continuous learning toward future leadership of LCA, PACT, and agri-footprinting projects.

Delivered accurate LCA and carbon footprint calculations for a variety of client projects.
Supported winning proposals, sales presentations, and successful client pitches with strong technical contributions.
Delivered thought leadership contributions and mentored colleagues, strengthening project management and climate consultancy capabilities.
Job requirements
Your Profile
5+ years experience in Climate consulting (business development and client leadership is ideal).
Proven client account management, nurturing long-term relationships.
Credible technical expertise in life cycle emissions and climate sustainability.
Adept at engaging senior audiences and C-suite clients.
Experience managing and mentoring consultancy professionals.
Strategic thinker with a record of shaping new offerings and driving growth.
Skilled communicator, able to represent Nexio Projects externally.
Fluent in English (Dutch and/or French highly desirable; other languages a plus).
